The Prayer
My faith is not a private affair. If it is real, it cannot be. The glory observed in the prayer closet cannot and should not be doused on emergence. Real encounters with the Almighty produce a public display, not personal opinions.
When we relentlessly pursue the leading of God, When our hearts are utterly captivated by Christ, When we have in reality encountered Him, When we have requested and seen the glory of God: We will gain the aroma of His nature, Infused with His mercy, justice, and holiness, As we are transformed into His image From one degree of glory to another. As we behold Him, Others will behold Him in us, Some attracted, others repulsed. But whether for or against, May those who observe our lives Be anything but apathetic toward Christ.
“But thanks be to God, who always leads us triumphantly as captives in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. For we are to God the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one, we are an odor of death and demise; to the other, a fragrance that brings life. And who is qualified for such a task? For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God.” (2 Corinthians 2:14-17)
